Some people should never own cars!

My mate dropped in to see me earlier this arvo driving his beaten up 2000 Ford Festiva.
I heard him coming a mile away!,what was once a nice little runabout is now rack n ruin!,he is proud of the fact that the only time it has EVER been serviced was when Ford did the original first free service for him after he brought the car brand new from the Ford place in Oakleigh in 2000.
Now I do my own servicing on the AU (thanks to this great site!!) oil and filter every 5 thou without a second though about it,plugs at 10 thou etc, It just makes me sick how some people treat cars and keep em going, and then we have my sister with her VX crummydore, she got the 100 thou service done at 110,000 (only cause the light came on the dash) and it will probably not see another mechanic until the service light comes back on in 10-15 thou, and then she will probably let it go another few thou on top of that,inbetween radiator top ups from the hose,hasn't heard of coolant.
And I bet the bloke who did the service for her used savings brand mineral crap too as I couldn't see them using anything decent like a semi synth half decent oil, so if my mathematics are up to scratch then the formula goes: mineral oil+10-15 thou kms=one caked up/********D up engine to me,do you guys know anyone like this?
