Default Running in a fiesta. What to do?

Got the little fez a week ago and i'm still at a loss with what to do when running the engine in. Am i supposed to go gently gently or go hard all the way? I've been getting conflicting advice.

Its traveled about 200ks so far - which consists of just stop start driving, random breaking and flooring (i am STILL the typical sydney driver) but I have to drive it down to melbourne in a weeks time. Would the constant 100km/h speed severely affect the running in of the car?
