A nuisance cat (feline type) some help pls!

There is a cat whom for the last few months has habitually sprayed the front & back doors of my home & more recently has taken it upon itself to hop up onto any vehicle parked on my property (overnight) & pi$$ on the windscreen & the front bar, wtf?? (seems to have a grudge). I really don't care much for cats (too chewy) so I contacted my local council, 1 option is to hire a cat trap ($60 refundable deposit for 2 weeks, no trap/disposal costs) which seems like a good option (in my area it's illegal to allow cats to roam free at any time) so IF I were to trap this maurauding moggie the owner (if found) would have to pay a release fee & a fine. Even though this may be my best course of action, I'm open to (humane)deterrent suggestions. so any other ideas would be much appreciated.:
