Only a quarter of the billion condoms made in India each year are used
for sex. Most of the others are used to make saris, toys and bathroom slippers, reports The Economic Times. Sari weavers place condoms on spools so the lubricant rubs off on the thread, making it move faster through their machines. Sari makers also use condom lubricant to polish gold and silver threads used in traditional clothing for Indian women. quote "No wonder there are so many bloody Indians in the world, they aren't using those poor condoms for their intended purpose!"
