Default V8`s why not....

Gday just wondering if any one can help me with a problem, i absolutly love V8`s and i am going to be gettin my P`s soon and already have my XD ute with a 351 in it, they have now brought out these new restrictions against P platers and now i am going to have to sell it.
Now that iv advertised it and just had a drive in it i wish this wasnt wat has to happen, iv left school and am workin as a concreter and will need a ute, Iv been catchin public transport for ages and sick of missing those buses lol, Does any one know of any ways i can still drive it on my P`s.
Iv heard you can get your employer to write a letter, I get my P`s in september so the restrictions apply.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Brad.
