[ partially duplicated post but anyway .. ]
Picked up my car from a $500 LPG "service" yesterday. I SPECIFICALLY stated it wouldn't start on LPG .. and guess what happened when I went to drive away afterwards. It wouldn't start. The "guy" at the garage came out (disbelievingly) and he couldn't start it either. Flicked to petrol and was fine. "See how it goes" was the response ... Well this morning, no starty-starty on LPG. This afternoon, no starty-starty on LPG. I drive back to the garage to book it in for a "check" and the Spanish Inquisition starts: Guy: "Has anyone been playing with it?" Me: "What? Since yesterday??" Guy: "No, since it had problems?" Me: "It was serviced about a year ago" Guy: "Well that mixer looked like someone had played with it .." Hmm? Anyway I drove off, but it was only afterwards I got PO'd with this conversation. What the hell does someone else playing with the LPG system have to do with the work they did yesterday?! Didn't I SPECIFICALLY ask for the LPG starting to be fixed? So, basically I'd say they fixed the obvious (ie. replaced the converter) and just chose to ignore anything else they couldn't be bothered with (ie. the mixer). Last time I checked at my work, doing my job was not "optional". I have to complete tasks, not just do the bits I feel like but not actually solve the problem .. Just do your job guys .. and we'll all be happy. |
