Well the time had come to finally upgrade the brakes on the G6ET. Seeing as Ford see it in their infinite wisdom to under brake these cars, I thought it was time that I rectified the problem.
Who better to go to for the fix than Matt at Race Brakes. I already knew what I wanted as I had the same setup on my ute and knew that it worked. DBA 4000 drilled and slotted rotors only for now, just to see how the OE pads perform for daily use. Spoke to Matt on Wednesday afternoon and the rotors were in my hands yesterday. What great service. Fitted them when I got home and took the car for a drive. I knew that the braking would be better than standard but what surprised me was that the terrible spongy peddle feel wasn't as bad as before. That is something that I wouldn't have thought would happen. If anyone is thinking of upgrading their FG brakes I cannot recommend these rotors highly enough. Nor the service from Matt at Race Brakes which is second to none. Thanks again Matt and I will be in touch regarding the braided lines. Cheers Dave |
