After what I just witnessed I am going to petition the Gov to introduce mandatory "Respecting the Road" awareness classes for anyone renewing their license.
The following is what I can only describe as the height of stupidity, to set the scene: Brisbane - 5:50pm - Bruce Highway heading North - Raining cats and dogs - Gridlock I see in my side mirror lights flashing, and about a minute later the Ambulance nears me. I do as everyone else and pull over to the shoulder of the road, Ambo flys by through the middle of all the cars, TAILGAITED, NOT JUST FOLLOWED, I'M TALKING LESS THAN A METER AWAY FROM THE AMBULANCE BUMBPER by this MORON OF BIBLICAL PORPORTIONS. What is wrong with people... plain and simple... first Ambulance officers being abused by car thieves here in Brisbane, now people nearly causing an accident while they are en-route to potentially save someone's life?? This is by far the dumbest things I've ever witnessed on the road, a very wet, dangerous road at that. For those wondering about make / model, it was one of the usual suspects, it's not about what they were driving, it's the attitude. /rant... |
