Hi Guys .. I'm on a bit of a holiday at the moment. Have just spent a month in the USA driving a Ford Explorer from LA to Niagara Falls and back. Did 6500 miles in all. Now I'm in Europe driving a Peugeot 3008 Diesel.
Thought you might be interested in the difference in Petrol Prices. In the USA the cheapest price I found was US$3.34 per US Gallon in Sioux Falls South Dakota. This converts to AU$0.94.7 per litre. (Wish we were paying that back in Aus.) In Europe Petrol is selling in the Netherlands for €1.72 per Litre. That is AU$2.71 per Litre ... <<<< That is scary!! Thank god the Peugeot I'm driving here is a Diesel because that is only €1.43 per litre or AU$2.13 per litre. The Peugeot is getting around 6.5 litres per 100k. No wonder they all drive tiny cars here. If I had my GT over here it would cost AU$184 to fill the tank! I'll never complain about AU petrol prices again lol. Cheers Mike
