That's not a Chevy Gen 1 V8, it's a Ford small block V8 of some type, it has a front-mount distributor. Are they Boss 302 heads ?

A bit pedantic I know, but the GM LSx family of engines are not really Chevys. The separate divisions of GM ceased designing & building their own engines around 1990, when GM-Powertrain was set-up to build them & then supply them to all divisions that required them. So from 1990 onwards all US engines & transmissions are branded as GM-Powertrain, not Chevy, Buick, Cadillac or whatever.

Also AFAIK, the 2 engines fitted the current VF are L77 (260kW) for autos & the L99 (270kW) for the manuals. HSVs get the LS3 (exc. GTS) & the LSA (supercharged) for the GTS.
