Default Re: Poll: Gay/Lesbian marriage.

Totally for it.

We saw that case recently in South Australia where the man died on his honeymoon and their marriage wasn't recognised so the partner could not make any decisions. It's an equal rights issue.

Sanctity of marriage? What's that thing about the Kardashians making millions off a marriage then divorcing? TV shows where people marry near strangers?
What sanctity?

As for a perversion of nature, there's sex between same genders in a myriad of animals, it's pretty normal.

Then you have the people claiming that if we allow gay marriage, EVERYONE will get gay married, then the human race will die out. Pretty sure only the people who are gay will marry people of the same gender, so anyone who follows that theory really has some of their own issues they want to work out.

As for the plebiscite, they don't want it because:
1. It's going to cost millions
2. It's not binding, and a number of LNP members have said they will ignore the outcome in any case.
3. Bringing it to vote means the anti-gay propaganda will skyrocket, and people who are already marginalised will be even more so.
4. It's a basic human right. We shouldn't have to vote on it.
