Well as some of you know, since the cam installed, my fuel economy has been out the window. I fixed a loose throttle cable which I thought might solve the problem, but after a week, the short lived fuel savings blew out again to the 17.5l/100km mark, down from 18l/100km. (Yay)
Another trip into Road & Track Services. Another Diagnostic. Apparently the Idle Vacuum is only 15 inches, hence why the car is overdelivering fuel at idle, the ECU believes the throttle body is open, when it is not. Apparently the only way to fix this is a vernier gear to adjust the cam "just so" to get idle working properly again. At only $110 for the gear itself and no install/dyno cost I guess I cant complain, but this drama has been dragging on for over 2 months, and I just want this to end and work correctly. Before I die or retire.
