I used to have my own Ford Australia website in the AUIII Falcon days. Was at www.australianford.cjb.net (its not up now). Had a bunch of AUIII Falcon vs VXII Commodore articles, EL GT vs HSV GTS 220i article, a XR GT - AUIII TE50 sports Falcon history and some previews of the upcoming (at the time) "AV" Falcon, and the roumoured AV Falcon GT with 374kW/700Nm 5.4litre V8 (was a nice roumour....).

If you want any help, or any information.. feel free to PM me or email me or add me to msn (my msn addy is in my public profile).

Cheers for the quick reply Steffo, I'll send you an email sometime tomorrow so you get the idea of what it's about. the URL is still www.geocities.com/makaa_04 which is just for testing/viewing ect but you get the idea of the layout and what content will be on it

Does anybody have a ford book that is full of info about the history of the Falcon? When I was in Melbourne I looked everywhere but couldn't find it.

Might be worth starting it as something small focused on a particular thing. I did that with aufalcon.com and it kind of grew from there.

Yeah that was the idea I had Casper but the little thing seems to be a bit bigger. I am planning to start off with the falcon then move on to the rest of the models i.e fairlanes, gts ect

Not a history, but Ewan Kennedy's book on Ford Falcon in Australia (blue hardcover with a GT on the front - its at home so I can't give you the exact title) has stacks of figures, picks and info. It wrapped up at the EF/EL (?) series.

Maybe look at starting a little smaller. Its not easy to just get a full on site up and going. Aufalcon.com is a slow evolution and is still far from a complete web site.

lol - the 1st sediton was...
The 2nd edition has been out for prob 6-12 months now & goes right up to & including the BA falcon/fairlane. We also released a book on the history of the GT / GTHO as well
If people are interested I can get both these titles, with a discount for AFF members(discount would basically cover the postage & handling, unless you wanted to pick them up off me personally)

There's a really good book floating around the Monash libraries (Glen Waverley, Mount Waverley and Wheelers Hill i think) called 'The Ford Falcon Story' which went into detail about each model, how and why they were designed the way they were etc. etc. wrapped up with the EA i think, so it's an older book, but a very good read.

Do you work for the publishing company that releases it ?

I wouldn't mind checking the new edition myself as I purchased the first edition ages and ages ago.

Your dates wrong for the end of the AU and start of the BA.
You have 2000, it should be 2002
