Hi guys,
Can we please get an LPG forum somewhere in the tech section? The 'other' FF was too hard for people to find info on LPG and I was forever answering the same questions. I requested one but never got an answer *mock horror* ;) Cheers, Greg |

I would have to say that is not a bad idea at all.
I found myself answering a lot of similar questions too. |

I think the problem was that there was not much traffic .. all the LPG related threads were counted and there weren't a lot.
I am not saying no .. but I don't know that there will be enough in there that's directly related to LPG and not covered in the relevant engine tech area. Convince me |

OK I'll try.... remembering it is new years day and all (and you heard us last night)
The main reason I want a dedicated LPG forum is the chance to start collecting some serious info on LPG systems in Aus, as well as helping people with any LPG based questions they might have, in one central area. Before there would be questions posted in the clevo, windsor, I6 and general tech areas and being the LPG mad weirdo I am would try and get to as many questions as I could... but its too easy to miss a thread that way and questions were left begging. I'd also like to see if we can get the big names in LPG equipment into the forum. I can't imagine how useful it would be to have someone from GRA or impco on the forums to help us out and I could only see that happening with a dedicated LPG forum. If it became as successful as I hope it would, once word of mouth got around, I'd like to see it drawing members who simply can't get the info anywhere else! Australia is the number one user of LPG on the planet and the car modifiers of the country are increasingly being forced into using LPG as road authorities and the EPA crack down on modified cars. I'd like to think of it more as trend setting more than anything. As for the usage of the LPG forum, there are many other forums that 5 years ago would never have been contemplated like a turbo Ford I6 forum.... now you'd be mad not to have one. Other forums draw less traffic but are essential, like the BB forum. I will accept any answer given, thank for even entertaining the thought. Cheers, Greg |

Just imagine how many TAXI drivers would log in and read it.......... :p
But seriously, an LPG Forum would be very interesting and would yield some great reading. I guess we could trial it and shut it down if looked like Jacko's nose.............but then again it might take off like Anna Nicole's boobys... Long live the stinky onion smell fuel.

I think its a good idea. Like xdc351 said, a lot of car modifiers are going to LPG, not only because of EPA, but because of the price of petrol too.
I personally dont take too much notice of LPG, as i dont intend to use it on any of my current cars, but in the future it might be an option. What harm can it really do? If it sucks, close it. |

And one more reason I didn't think of yesterday....
I'd like the LPG forum so people can ask a question about LPG without having pages of people telling them its BBQ fuel (which apparently will make us change back to petrol if enough people say it). There is a classic example of this on the other forum's cleveland area, someone wanted to know a simple question and has been shot down in flames like he put a 350 chev in an XY. Cheers, Greg |

If Ford thought it was good enough and the market was there to release dedicated LPg cars maybe we should trial run it and see how it goes?
I am a gas man personally only because I am a tight a$$ but some local speed shops are putting out respectable performance combos using LPG only.. IMO the more sub-forums you have the more user friendly the site becomes. especially for searching and welcoming noobies to the relevant sections without the same questions asked over and over.

This thread should be reconsidered.
1. Cars are being made that are lpg factory made 2. Everyone that gets dual fuel or conversion done, ussually does research. |
