I got a ps3, as has been said, awesome for networking with the pc's etc, but the gaming side of it really sucks, not a big choice in games to buy, waiting for my GTprologue to arrive, looks great. Have a look on youtube regarding being able to play ps2 games on it.

I have a 60gb PS3 with back compatibility, and even though I stretched financially to get this one, I beleive I made the right choice. It makes your game library much larger with the PS2 games Im still able to play. I dont often play games, but when I do, playing some older games is always a nice change than to be restricted to purchasing and playing ONLY new compatible games. I still dont know how to use all the functions either. I will get around to it one day.
If this rumor is true, I recommend all those who want a PS3 with back compatibility to wait for this new release. PS3 with back compatibility FTMFW
