Man vs Food - Where's the best all you can eat joints!

Where do you reckon the best all you can eat joints are or somewhere that specialises in a mammoth meal! I dont mind the concept of a viking challenge where it's you versus the food.
I'll kick it off with a with a place I found in Japan called Fujiya. I know its not in Aust but it was a nice find for a bit of a viking challenge! For around $15 you get the basic pasta meal but if your keen you can pay an extra $10 and do the viking cake round. All you can eat cake from two well presented displays. You only get one hour and can only take two cakes at a time. So after loosening the belt buckle I managed to polish off the pasta meal and 14 cakes. So after that I was sick like a monkey, I embarrassed the missus, her sister was amazed...but a good time was had by all.

I've always a spot for the Conservatory at Crown here in Melbourne. It's up there in price but is well worth it. My fave, the lunchtime seafood buffet

I just wait until Maggi noodles are on special, and for about 5 bucks it fills me up nicely.

The downside is that mixing the beef and chicken flavours together really isn't that great...

The flavour bags are for suckers, what you need to do is pour about a litre and half of tomato sauce on it and mix it all up-best.food.ever.

LOL, the Langham is my second home. Actually more like my real home as I spend more time living there then at my postal address.

Buffet breakfast is a similar challenge for those that like an early start, but at $32 it's not cheap.

When I was down in Canberra I think we had breakfast in or near one of the Universities, had an all you can eat breakfast. They have had all sort of meats, breads, eggs etc. Was pretty darn good from what I remember of it.

And... I needed the kids to walk, so my wife could push me in the stroller...

There was no way - after eating that much bacon and eggs... that I was in a suitable condition to walk... or talk... or anything...

If you're ever in Cairns on a weekend...go to the Sunday brunch at the Sebel.

From memory it's about...$60pp, buffet of fresh seafood, lobster, prawns, you name it...and bottomless daquaris to boot!

IS there still Smorgies in Bundoora and Geelong here in Victoria? I remember going to that when I was a little kid, nothing like everything you can eat, load up the plate with french fries, then icecream, F salad and vegetables.

Indian Village in Gosnells. They are close to the best Indian in W.A and on fri and sat nights it is all you can eat for $29. I have always got takeaway from them when in Perth, but I dined in for the first time the other day. All your favourite dishes were available and they made their money from my family, at the most we ate 2 plates of food ea and their plates are not huge. The downside is their toilet is as realistic as you can imagine, they really captured the indian spirit in there lol.

Actually the Vindaloo was not even remotely spicy. I had never had it and was warned I would regret it, but it never even made my mouth burn, my sister said they lower the heat because kids use the smorgasboard (my family go there every now and then), but if you get takeaway you will regret it.

Fantasea Thailand - Thai themepark in Kamala, Phuket. It will seat 3000 people... Great food and there is heaps to look at inside too!

This is the centre hall - there is one more on each side of this too. The Buffets are about 70m long on each wall side so 6 buffet lines lol

Here in Adelaide the greyhound racing at angle park has a buffet and all you can eat. Hot Thursday night racing, beers and all the food you can consume us a great way to spend an evening with mates.

i work away from home.. live in a camp.. i can eat til i explode morning, lunch and tea.. all for free...... lay off the sticky date pudding.. icecream and eat some salad ya fat bastard..........

Here in Oz I've only tried Smorgies in Geelong, which was full of tourists when we went.

Back in the Philippines there's a well known all-you-can-eat restaurant chain, which is basically 2 restaurants under one roof - Saisaki (Japanese fare) and Dad's Steakhouse (great Angus beef)- and they have a meal package that lets you have the buffets at both places and eat to your heart's content.
