MFP508 - thats awesome
There are quiet a lot of RC fans here! My hobbies are - cars obviously but with a preference for the older and performance Ford stuff, as well as the restoration side of things. - renting and the lack of a shed gave birth to a new hobby, which is fish/shrimp keeping and breeding. We keep and breed freshwater species, namely crs/cbs, L# catfish (just a couple) and still trying to get them to breed lol. We have recently cut back to 7 tanks - exploring creeks for the aqua hobby - i like a bit of fishing now and then - dirt/trial/mx riding - i quiet enjoy hunting old Fords, as in, taking the road less travelled to see whats in peoples paddocks or chasing up a lead from word of mouth - has still yet to yield a result but hey its fun - used to breed australian parrots, which i hope to get back to one day - DIY stuff is fun too - i could go on but they are the main ones if i had the money, life would just be one big hobby

Heaps of good luck stories around where I live. Only other Porsche owner in the district aside from me is a guy who found a $220,000 nugget on his property. Bought his dream car with it. Then there is another story about a local walking his dog in the evening where the council had been laying some sewer pipe and found a $150,000 nugget just sitting in the dust. Lots of gold still out there. I've found some on my property just sitting there on the driveway when I got out to open the gate one day. Only about $500 worth though. |

Video games -been playing games and collecting since 1977 when I was four. have super nes, mega drive, intellivision (had since 83), PS1 x 2 (original and modded), Xbox slayer 2.7 modded, C64 and 128d computers and boxes full of disc based games since 1982. and more part of the aussie arcade forum, visit AVCON and much more and of course I love to cruise with other ford owners |

Semi retired at 30 so lots of energy and time to fill. Building cars ranks low now although occupied most of my free time in my 20's. I like driving them more than building them nowadays and keep a collection of toys. 4x4, sports cars, muscle car, etc. One for every occasion I guess. Other than that travelling. I travel a LOT. Best trips are just drifting aimlessly in my 4x4 with no destination. I also garden a lot. I bought an old farm house recently with 5 acres of run down overgrown gardens which is turning into a project of epic proportions. Then I spend a fair bit of time hiking, kayaking, fishing, and I'm a bit of an amateur photographer too. Diverse interests but most of them revolve around being outside. I spent most of my teens and 20's away from natural day light with computers, so I'm making up for lost time.

My crux is RC heli's.
I currently have 6 in the hanger. Awesome fun, both flying and building. One flybarred and the rest are flybarless.

Main hobby was playing bass, love it. Haven't had much time lately though which is a bit of a shame.
Mucking around with cars is also obviously a big one. Other than that I really enjoy doing courses and getting more qualifications and the goal for the next 12 months is to find a bit of a 'project' house, buy it, move in and start renovating it into the perfect home.

I posted in here earlier, but here is My stable of cars
I have an, AE RC10T4.1 (being modified to race) HPI Blitz (also being modded for racing) Traxxas Rally Kawasaki edition HPI E-Firestorm Losi XXX-SCB (This I am going to race but just stock, except it has a BL upgrade) My planes (I had more, but after getting my first balsa I gave all my foamies away. I have also just picked up 2 more 3D planes) and I collect various things, but mostly diecast aircraft (had over 100 but sold due to financial stress) and Simpsons stuff. I love The simpsons. My evil krusty doll has the pull string and he talks lol. I also fly RC heli's as I mentioned earlier, but I won't flood with anymore pics lol. Last edited by Spudz27; 15-09-2012 at 08:44 PM. |

Man there is a lot of r/c junkies on here, mine would have to be mountain biking, mainly down hill and freeride stuff, anything that gets me out. But with two young girls I'm doing my best to teach my oldest daughter to ride hopefully we will be hitting some trails soon. I used to ride dirt bikes but the money I spent on my xr dictated the move back to mtb only for the financial side! Guess fast cars and other expensive hobbies don't fit in with mortgage and bills!

Burning Rubber - and general Motorsports, drag racing is a favorite.
Working on cars - I actually dislike this but its not hard and well worth the fun had breaking them. Archery - I still kinda suck but can be done in lots of locations. Weightlifting - aka destroying my back and left knee, then rebuilding them. Reading - when you're body is tired exercise you're mind. I 99% of the time read Non-Fiction. Plinking - shooting steel targets is my choice activity when shooting (immediate feedback) but the protectionist attitude in the government (imo) makes this a hassle to do. Amateur film critic - have been offered (Freelance) work doing this in the past but I only watch stuff I select and writing reviews takes up too much time. R/c - Heli's are fun but I rarely use them as with my big r/c f-250 monster truck. Gaming - Usually in bad weather or quiet nights, lots more when I'm laid up with an injury or sick. Dirtbiking - I used to be very into dirt biking (bush tracks mainly) but cars tend to eat the moto coin so I'm in a transition to downhill mountain biking. Downhill Mountain biking - Fun, decent exercise but a little out of my way. YouTube - I both watch and make videos, I've had to delete a few channels for copyright reasons (usually music) but its a good exercise of my editing skills. Skill Collecting - Always nice learning a new skill, parachuting is next on my list. General Adventure - If you're not living you are already dead.
