Craig Lowndes wins V8 Supercars 3 charity race

Received this about the new V8 Supercars 3 game i am eagerly waiting to come out

Last Friday, November 25, we previewed V8 Supercars 3 – The Real Racing Simulator – at Phillip Island during the final round of the V8 Supercars series. The highlight of the day was a six-way driver play-off featuring Craig Lowndes, Mark Skaife, Steven Richards, Brad Jones, Todd Kelly and Jason Bargwanna. Driving their own cars around the authentically recreated Phillip Island track, it proved the perfect opportunity to hone their skills prior to the real practice session later that day.
Despite none of the drivers having played the game before, they were able to draw on their knowledge of the track and each car’s handling to rack up some impressive lap times, a clear illustration of the accuracy of V8 Supercars 3’s simulation of the sport.



It wasn’t all smooth sailing though, as all six drivers seemed determined to demonstrate the full extent of the game’s realistic damage modeling!

Mark Skaife made the most of his pole position and held first place throughout the opening lap. However, going into the first corner the second time around, he ran wide and let the chasing Craig Lowndes and Brad Jones through. Skaife then dropped to the back of the pack after an unfortunate tangle with HRT teammate Todd Kelly.




In the end, Lowndes managed to hold off the charge from a fast-finishing Steven Richards to take the chequered flag. Lowndes donated his $3000 winner’s purse (thanks to Atari Australia, V8 Supercars Australia and Serious Racing) to the charity of his choice.

Sadly for Craig, he was pipped to the championship by Russell Ingall on Sunday afternoon. But he’ll be able to exact revenge soon when we release V8 Supercars 3 on February 24 next year.

I disagree M14A-Mclaren, I have had a lot of fun out of the V8supercar race driver and the Colin McRae series. Both codemasters games.

What do you think is a better racing game? Currently for PC, and no I am not a fan of Need 4 Speed

Its the little things that **** me off, they do a really halfassed job when it wouldnt be that hard to do it better. Example, look at the wheels on the screenshot the front is 1 pixel thick.

Codemasters is ok. They just don't compare (IMO) with GT4 or Fordza 2
