The problem with hideous cars is that you usually see them in traffic passing by. Unfortunately you never seem to see them when you're walking along the footpath and they're parked, so you can only say "Good lord I saw this thing in traffic the other day...don't know what it was but it fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down".

EA falcons and XE S Packs love those strips. Nimbus.
The OP opening post is just asking for AU bashing. The moderator is then the only person taking it all to seriously. One bias thread opened by a AU owner and moderated by a AU owner. |

Stripes and stickers used to be the way dealerships tarted up cars of all sorts, especially cheaper models...how else do you make a car lot full of, for example, Toyota Corollas, look different to one another, especially when most were pretty much the same colour.
My Celica has large stickers down each side...I've seen other Celicas of a similar era with "CELICA" in big letters, to simply different pattern stripes. It used to be quite common and a cheap way to dress up a basic paint job and make cars stand out more. |

But the reason I said about the AU bashing is, every time something comes up about the AU, there is always one or a few who will start saying it is ugly. Most agree it is ugly and should be left at that. This thread is a bit of fun; most people get that and are showing some pretty ugly cars and having a laugh about them. |

Sorry, but to me AU's are one of those cars that were vomitous when they first came out, but over time they've actually become more attractive if modified nicely. That dark coloured one lowered with steel wheels and white walls looks damn nice. |

I totally agree the AU wasnt the best looking car when they came out. But the AU lines today make them look a lot newer then a lot of new cars out at the moment.
A few tasteful mods and they can look really nice. Unlike the chrysler/au coupe mash :P
