Ford Power, in a Merc?

Hi all,
For xmas got custom plates.. "KE".. I have 2 cars.. a '67 merc getting a '03 BA I6 engine into it at the moment, and a '90 KE laser GL runabout with the usual bits and pieces like rims, stereo, etc. Thing is the plates had nothing to do with the laser, was just 2 digit plates which are rare as and always liked the look of small plates.. 2 or 3 digit etc... and originally was going to put them on the merc when it's finished.. with no real meaning to the letters or anything.. But now.. do I put them on the KE? which doesnt really deserve custom plates but it's relevant and kind funny.. or do I put them on the merc with no meaning to it but just adding a bit of class with the 2 digit plates on an old classic? Cheers |

on the old classic for sure. Puttin in on the run-about seems a bit...well overdone for being a run-about. It raises the question 'why did that guy go and buy custom plates for that little thing'? - then they may see rims etc and think 'oh, hes trying to rice it up'..i dunno thats just my 2c.

Why not put them on the laser for now and transfer to the merc when finished.
Custom plates dont have to mean anything If you like them put them on if you dont leave them off.

Actually I usually wonder what car they are doing up.
I am thinking of getting some for my dodge and if I do the will live on the XE for a while until the Dodge is done

Most would not have a clue that your laser is a KE. Put them on the merc. Just make something up to explain them..........

If they don't mean anything to you why don't you sell them for a princely sum..

Perhaps you should have thought of a meaning first then got the plates to suit. Here's some you could have got...
WTF POQ DH Hey, if you say them quickly together, I think I just accidentally insulted you. LOL (oh that's a good one too "LOL")
