Tried Aldi Waffle ice-cream cones, $2.50 for 12... they were fine - Belmont's. Got Coles ice-cream though coz it was half price.

Grabbed some Aldi pasta that I forgot about, 79 cents a pack imported from Italy. *&^% paying $2.00-2.50 for san remo because they usually occupy 75% of the shelf-space.

Angry Re: Any ALDI shoppers out there

Now do the same for ColesWorth. Also if I want to buy something like the hottest sauce popularity wise on the planet, Reggae Reggae Sauce as seen on Dragons Den and only available retail in Australia from Aldi, where should I purchase it if Aldi is as evil as you imply?

Oh and if people actually care about "chicken" welfare.......'organic' is the only safe ish way to get chicken and eggs! People forget it's not just the cage they live in....it's the food they eat......full of wheat and corn filler and hormones!

We feed out chickens 100% gluten free organic food and the eggs are so big it's not funny. Literally don't fit in extra large egg cartons. They look like duck eggs.....oh and taste AMAZING! So does organic chicken! You wouldn't believe it till you had it

Meh...literally the last time about a year ago we bought chicken from Coles....it was the most disgusting foul stench. And it was nowhere near use by date!
They all have food issues....

You think Aldi is the only one who gets bad media attention, lost count on how many times Coles, Woolies & others get reported for same problems.

Some examples here

The Aldi examples I have provided point to a systematic failure of quality control in the production facilities. Furthermore, these products should have been immediately recalled, yet I haven't seen Aldi take any such action. Why?

Aldi, Coles and Woolworths meat are all Australian.

There is good and bad in each store.

I shop Aldi, range is great, more Australian made products than Colesworths. And there is money to be saved.

I shop at Coles and Woolies now and again for bits and peices if they are in my way home and need something. Nothing wrong with their stuff.

They all sell food to the public. Most of its good. Sometimes its not. Sometimes its on special. Sometimes its not. Sometimes I get rude service. Sometimes I dont. Sometimes the tampons fall apart, sometimes they dont.

Seriously, its like comparing 2 bananas from neighbouring farms. They are still bananas, just done a little different.

If you dont like Aldi then dont shop there. Pretty simple really. Validated what? that is crap. What is the criteria to validate to? So you grow you own veggies. Great. Do they have salmonella in them? Great then go eat them, but dont sell them or you will be in strife as well. Do you spray your spiders or eat them as well? Maybe you have enough time to go through each plant and meticulously remove them, Some may say thats a pity. And yes, perhaps Coles should x-ray every capsicum individually because in the end, they are responsible!! Why dont you go back and tend your garden and validate that for us?

So when Colesworths do it its a naturally occurring thing and nothing to worry about, but when Aldi have an issue they must be closed down immediately and their directors jailed

What tha???

Nuff kiddies.

In other news, Aldi have a decent 3D printer for sale today. It is a rebadge of this:

http://wanhaousa.com/products/duplicator-i3-steel-frame

It is very decent for the money.

This thread seems to have reduced to a handful of people making the same point over and over and over and over etc etc.

I will once again make the point that you should take the time to craft your contributions as though you were speaking to someone across the table, not anonymously on the web.

There are too many keyboard warriors here. I was tempted to issue warnings but I thought closing was easier.

Sometimes this forum brings out the best in people, sometimes the opposite.
