Default Wiper blade trial - any results?

Some time ago (two or three months) someone posted an offer to trial a set of super duper wiper blades.... supposed to last 3 years??

Anyhoo, as I recall one of the admins (or maybe a mod) volunteered to try them.

Did the trial go ahead, and if so, are there any results/opinions?

I think it was just a big scam ..
all she got of me was 10 min of typing.. I hope
she did not get money off other people.

Have heard good things about the wiperblades PIAA were selling a while back ... using carbon fibre internally. Not sure how it treated the windscreen though. But apparently they lasted 3-4 years ... not cheap though.

Wiper blades are such a pain.
I went to replace the rubbers on the EF and the previous owner has fitted some Trico(?) blades that you can't replace the rubber on :/

I changed the rubbers on the XC every month or two (worked in tullamarine, used them every day to wipe the jet wee off the windows).

It would be great to find out what works and what doesn't!

Note - Don't replace your stock wiper blades with after market ones!!!
When I buy your car, I'll get annoyed when I want to just change the rubber!

I tried those dual wiper blades once - 2 wiper blades per wiper arm. They sucked. In light rain, the first one cleans the screen and the second just drags on the almost dry glass and slows the wipers down. In general, they just slow your wipers down. In heavy rain, the wipers don't move fast enough although they do clear the water when they do.

yes, I remember that it was a woman.

The blades themselves were real enough... whether or not she had dist rights to them is another question.

If I've got it right she was to supply someone on FF with a set for evaluation?

Maybe that never happened either?

No big deal, I just recalled it and wondered...

I like the Aunger colored wiper blades. The OEM ones I've used that cost more fall apart and scratch the windscreen. I know have two cars with scratched windscreens. The OEM ones will never be fitted to the XB even. It's had the Aunger colored ones fitted for 4-5 years. The driverside is getting ordinary in the rain as I found out on Monday.
