not a fan of waiting 12 months to get one.
FFS they make 3000 a week at the plant most likely.
So why do I have to wait 12 months for a mustang.

Glad you and others think this way , already have a few thousand orders ahead of mine and others who are happy to order site unseen.

SSVPom that looks very similar, I remember the GT badge, the red rear diffuser, and maybe I remembered the LHD sticker too.... I'd say it was, but it looked much better in the afternoon sun (or little there was of it), almost glowing... I think he put the brake lights on for me cos I was dribbling.... splash...

We spoke to the engineer who was staying at the Grand Hyatt where we snapped it, and he showed us around the car, let a mate sit inside, and then gave it some beans when taking off. Nice bloke.

There's an LED Mustang logo that is projected onto the floor when the car is unlocked - that looked trick.

This is also where I snapped the China destined Taurus last month, so it's safe to say FoA have a deal with the hotel.

Its pretty simple, you either want one or you don't. There are many Mustang enthusiasts in Australia, and many people who have always dreamed over owning one that have bought one.

Its no different to any other manufacturer who has a car that is in hot demand. Mercedes for instance is the same if you want something like a CLA45 or a GLA45, order, pay a deposit and wait patiently. 9 times out of 10 these cars get picked up 6 months down the track with no issue.
Exactly right, I have a friend who has bought only Holden all his life including his kids. He has placed an order for a red V8 in auto. It is due either in late November or early December, he says he can't wait.

Hype or not that is what people are doing.

The other thing people need to remember is that this car is brand new model here, if you can't get one within a few months once it's been here a couple of years I'll be suprised.

I care because Ford must get their act together and get their cars here in reasonable time after ordering. More than a month isn't acceptable today. Why wait when you can get an opposition vehicle within a month????? Eg : Territory up to 8 weeks,, MUX in a week.AFF isn't just about praising Ford, it should be discussing Ford warts and all...

Strike while the iron is hot comes to mind.

For years and years we have mondeo, focus, and ranger "supply issues". Ford may err on the side of caution but its not hard to match production with demand unless yet again Australia is getting the dreggs. Our market deserves better treatment than that or Ford doesnt care so much about leading the sales any more (which given the cheapness of some cars these days isnt totally crazy).

Still, new car, new excitement, people actually wanting to walk into Dealership to be told these is a wait on your mass produced Ford?..hmm

I really hope it goes well .. but I fear Australian's have a fickle relationship with coupes. Get all excited with the IDEA of them, they sell OK for a couple of years then die off as the early adopters move onto the next big thing.

Yeh but no one wants a MUX....

Go to Mercedes and order a car that people want, you wont get it in 8 weeks let alone 3 months....

The stangs they are showing are not the same spec as we will be getting. I was at a Brisbane dealership for the Brisbane launch and we were all taken in by the wheels that car was wearing but when questioned the sales manager said Aus weren't getting them. Being a dealer myself I had a chat with him after and we wont even be able to order parts from the U.S cars.

The Aus spec misses out on the following

- Spoiler
- Bonnet Vents
- Blind Spot Assist
- Remote start
- Red Tail lights - we get clear ones.

The car has not been released how are ford meant to supply within a month? You order a car due for public sale in 12 months and expect to get it in 1 month?

I struggle to understand some peoples thought process.
