So my girlfriend and I were getting into bed. Well, the passion starts to heat up : , and she eventually says "I don't feel like it, I just want you to hold me."
I said "WHAT????!!! What was that?!" :
She responded to my puzzled look by saying, "Can't you just love me for who I am and not what I do for you in the bedroom?"
What every boyfriend/husband on the planet dreads to hear..."You're just not in touch with my emotional needs as a woman enough for me to satisfy your physical needs as a man."

Realizing that nothing was going to happen that night I went to sleep. The very next day I opted to take the day off of working on the car to spend time with her. We went out to a nice lunch and then went shopping at a
big, big unnamed department store. I walked around with her while she tried on several different very expensive outfits. She couldn't decide which one to take so I told her we'll just buy them all. She wanted new shoes to compliment her new clothes, so I said lets get a pair for each outfit. We went on to the jewelry department where she picked out a pair of diamond earrings.

Let me tell you...she was so excited. She must have thought I was one wave short of a shipwreck. I started to think she was testing me because she asked for a tennis bracelet when she doesn't even know how to play tennis. I think I threw her for a loop when I said, "That's fine, honey." She was almost nearing sexual satisfaction from all of the excitement.
Smiling with excited anticipation she finally said, "I think this is all dear, Let's go to the cashier".

I could hardly contain myself when I blurted out, "No honey, I don't feel like it."
Her face just went completely blank as her jaw dropped with a baffled "WHAT???!!!"

I then said, "Really honey! I just want you to HOLD this stuff for a while.. You're just not in touch with my financial needs as a man enough for me to satisfy your shopping needs as a woman."
And just when she had this look like she was going to kill me I added, "Why can't you just love me for who I am and not for the things I buy you?"

Apparently I'm not getting any tonight either."
Lol, got that one in an email some time ago.... absolute ****er!

I voted indifferent although sometimes the attitude goes to hate!!!

My better half knew I was into cars when we met and that I had the Coupe. Her attitude was that at least I didn't drink and smoke or chase dirty girlies so this was OK. She enjoys comming along to car club runs occasionally and the social side of it. She isn't too keen on the "boys club" aspect of it. She hated me spending the money on the paint job. I think she would be happy if I ever decided to sell it but she would never say it or force me to.

I think her attitude could be best summed up as "tolerates it"!!!

My ex loved my old R31 because it was a bit of a head turner, but hated it because of all the things wrong with it (the amount of times she had to open it on the passenger side, LOL damn central locking), she liked the ED because everything worked and it was comfy on long trips. Oh, and that back seat is a fair sight bigger than the R31 :

My missus loves her AU XR-lookalike wagon, but hates my AU XR8 - only 'cos it's not as good looking as her AU XR6 that was traded in for my XR8! Goes stacks better though.

Mine simply says she likes it since it's cute (Fiesta) (: Nor does she care it's an auto (With reasons to holding her hand whilst driving).

My gf loves the EB She's got a meteor, which is pretty good for what it is. It's kept in far better condition than the EB though :

Maybe I could get her to start washing the EB... :sm_drool: :Reverend:

I only drive an '04 Pulsar Q, I always bag it because I don't really like it but my girlfriend always sticks up for it for some reason. I really want a Focus XR5 but she isn't keen on them and we need to save for a European trip next year.

Our dream car is a red 1965 Mustang Convertable with a white roof and white interior. We have put that in the 'one day' file.

...she may be the boss when it comes to everything else in the house, but....when we go for a spirited cruise in the ute, then I think we both agree who the real BOSS is!!! (pun very much intended) :
p.s. it's a great way to make her forget whatever it was she was gonna have a go at ya about! ('till tomorrow that is)

I constantly get "what-the?" looks in 'Lurch' ('78 LTD), particularly when the back doors are opened to reveal 2 car seats hidden behind the tint!! My friends know me, know my car, can't figure it out!. :ticking:
My ex said it looked like a mafia staff car. He preferred NOT to drive it... his loss! :

Most of my ex's were into cars. However the one I am married too doesn't have any cars in her blood what so ever.

I have now purchased the 67 XR she doesn't mind driving in it as it looks and sounds like it was made. (at the moment)

She never drove the EL GT even when asked.

She has a 72 VW Beetle. Car from A to B is all she needs.

However saying that she once left our house in the old XR8 after a couple of wines and dropped the clutch and redlined the poor thing and smoked the car up the road in a wild frenzy.

The neighbours teenage boys come out thinking it was me but were very suprised to see it was my lady.

Even that wasn't enough to convert her.

One day I might sneak a set of old porsche wheels onto her VW.
