Fantastic write up. I totally agree, the Hyundai stands its ground against the competition. Glad that you went for the Territory, you won't regret it! I'm 23, no wife, no kids and have a Terry and absolutely love it!

Enjoy.

Due to my lunacy.........

Having second thoughts. No, not about the Territory, but about the combination. Doing some serious reserch on attempting the following:

>Buy new Titanium RWD Petrol
>Add AWD as per factory spec (using existing/last model components) myself
>Add crazy turbo combination

I am crazy enough to do it............will it work?

Can't you just up the boost on the diesel...? Surely it won't take long for someone to work out how to do it if they haven't already....

So far, it seems none of the big name (experienced) tuning companies have been able to fully crack the ECU with success, the Terri is almost 2 years old now!

It's not complianced for AWD, so pretty sure for NSW regulations it would need to e classified as an ICV with an AWD conversion.

Not if you buy it as a RWD.

I agree on the lack of options, have been looking at Jeeps with envy over the Territory in the looks and engine department, but handling is typical yank tank, but don't want a diesel Terry, so settling on a used F6X only $28k 80,000km already tuned running 12's! Pick it up on Friday can't wait!

If you really want a powerful SUV there are quite a number around but your budget will have to be a lot higher.
You have sadly described the Falcon range and the fate for the rest of them. Sad sad days.
