I need help knowing what this car is, and what country it is from. If anyone can have a look and tell me it would help immensely.

I can't quite read the badge on the guard, but it looks like a Dodge Coronet......probably around 1966 to 1968 model.

Upon searching for some more pics I came across this:

http://hillman.talstar.com/photos/19...Summer1989.jpg
http://www.chooseyouritem.com/classi...00/106001.html

1968 Plymouth Valiant, it seems to be very similar to the signet..

I asked a friend (also a mechanic) on another car forum in Seppoland.

His reply.............

They were sold as the Plymouth "Scamp (one of which I owned)" and the Dodge "Swinger." All basically the same car. Mine had a 360 in it I believe. Fast.

There was an inline 6 available that was not very quick but as solid as most straight sixes of the day.

Was no Chrysler Valiant, the Valiant ran under the Plymouth nameplate.....it
ws the basic cheapie, and Chrysler, with their New Yorkers et al, didn't go
there at the time.

The Dodge variant was called the Dart. The 360 wasn't really available in
that chassis, it was in the warmed over versions of the later cars, i.e. the
Demon.....the 340 was the engine of performance 'til 73 or 74......the 360
was an attempt to goose a little powewr into the emissions emasculated
mid-70s engines......unsuccessfully.

Most of the V-8 cars of that era/model line had the venerable 318, which was
only exceeded in sheer bulletproof capability by the SLANT
six........Chrysler's arguably best engine for durability EVER.

That engine was used from the very early 60s all the way up into the 90s.

The suckers would NOT die!

Hope this helps.

I love the Valiants. Had a VK Ranger myself. But I don't think Chrysler Australia made "millions" of them.

AFAIK less than 600,000 were sold in Australia. That's all series from Series R to the CM.
