The add blitz on SBS is still going, but still no Falcon adds here... There are usually 3 or 4 in a row, different models. Still its good to see finally the product is being shown and the adds do appear to be very good.

I like the new Ford ads, nice a straight to the point.
It will make people realise that Ford has the product and hopefully get them to ford site and dealers to find out more. |

Good stuff. As it's only 15 seconds long, this should be put on rotation and shoved down people's throats. Bang the for buck here for sure.

I actually saw it watching a TV show replay on the net. And a side note, I can't believe how many ads they now playing to watch TV shows on the net. They have closed that loop hole!! But it is good to hear they aired it during the Sunday nights which I think costs big dollars?

Great.
But.... How many months has the EB been on sale? How many people have bought Camrys in that time when maybe they could have been tempted into a better, bigger, superior, faster, more efficient local product IF only they'd known it existed? Flood the 6pm time slot Ford. You've got the product. Tell the people. |

Sadly Fiesta, it seems people are still too sold on the idea that hybrids are the eco wave of the future...if Ford had tacked a regenerative braking system onto the EB to power the lights or something, maybe they could've flogged the "Hybrid" concept too!
At the same time Toyota's pushing the locally-produced angle for the Camry, and government fleets are playing (or paying) right into their hands... |

Is it just me or does that ad essentially tell you nothing?
A non Ford person probably wouldn't even know it's a new engine, it comes across as just some special thing they have done to save fuel and they've called it ecoboost. At least give some economy figures or introduce it as "The all new ecoboost engine"

Agreed. Might make people dig into what EcoBoost is, and why it makes Mother Nature hug you.

Yeah it tells you nothing important about the car. Look at it this way, if you didn't know much/anything about the EB Falcon (and aren't a member of these forums!) what specifically about the ad would draw you to the EB Falcon and make you want to test drive or buy it? And what new information do you now know about it? |

I think it's a step in the right direction, but have to agree they're not pushing the engine as much as they could be. But hey, it's good Ford adversiting!
Plus it's all about fuel economy now. |
