Technical Contributor: For members who share their technical expertise. - Issue reason: Trev has owned several boosted fords and has really contributed a lot of info on them. His posts in the bike section are also very helpful. I think he should be recognised as a technical contributor.
Default Portugal? Who knows it relatively well?

Portugal? Who knows it relatively well?

If I was going to say land in Lisbon with 7-10 days to spare what would be the things to do? Train across to Spain for a few days perhaps?

I do like train journeys, river cruises and mountains / natural wonders.

I've only sort of been in and out at Faro and did stay few days on the Algarve Peninsula for a BMW S 1000 RR launch at Portimao racetrack but didn't get a chance to get out and explore at all. I will be riding Portimao again this time and also get out for some trail riding while around there.

But I want to get out and see a bit this time and with Michelin flying me in and out of Lisbon I might get them to fly me in there 7-10 days earlier and do some exploring out of Lisbon before flying from Lisbon to Portimao on Michelin's jet to do the work stuff with them.

mcn my wife is Portugese but from their island called Madeira.
1.5hr flight from Lisbon, their No1 tourist destination and 2nd richest region after Lisbon.
Fantastic place, mountainous good ride area, good wine country and much to do.
Great food and the climate mild.
Do a bit of research on it well worth spending a few days or more.
If you wish to know more even main land ask and I'll find out for you.

I spent over a year backpacking and about 3 weeks in Portugal , out of all my travels its is the best place I visited with Austria coming in 2nd and thats only because of family in Austria . . . Anyhow Portugal has great weather, amazing seafood , beautiful people and just bloody fun . . . But like I said I was backpacking and 23 years old so every day in europe involved hostels and drinking to much . . .

My days there was get up, drive and drink and rinse repeat. The joys of VanTour. Lagos is where I spent most of the time, it was awesome but overall I loved the entire country.
