maybe that guy from the wanted area of the car yard gave up looking for a set of BA BOSS heads... :
sounds interesting though, but it would want to be in show condition or running bloody fast 1/4s for that price IMO

There was one done in the southern suburbs of Adelaide with a 351 clevo - legally registered. The guy who built it made Cobra replica's so he had his engineer make it happen. Very much a sleeper of a car - except for the "Power by Ford" rockercover script grafted into the bootlid.

WOOHOO! I have an EA under the house which is destined to have a 302 in it. I was unsure as to whether I'd actually be able to register it. This makes me feel a little better!

Its a car that has rego with a nonstandard drive train, being a engineered car its unlikely to be a shitta, think of how many dollars this would have taken to do legal. Because its old dont mean its not worth it, prob cost twice to three times that figuire to build it. |

If it has been engineered, and done properly, I'd say it's a bargain

I thought that the engine had to be same era or newer for transplants too, ie, must have same or newer emission standards.

I believ if you run dedicated gas you can use an older engine as the gas engine has lower emissions. This is what they were doing with Cobra replicas prior to FI windsors being easily available.

Oddly enough that's what people were saying about XB coupes in 1983, who'd pay good money for a fuel guzzling tank that's too claustrophobic to sit in the back of, funny how times change isnt it............... :

" doesnt mean cause he put hundreds of hours into it doesnt change the market value of the EA,none the less.." WTF you could hardly go on common market value, they were never on the market in the first place! How many cars that have been modified properly go for market value, supose Mcbeths magna is only worth $12-13K at market value... |
