QE2 arrived in Sydney yesterday morning. A few shots I took:
The amount of tugwash in the 'Quay is phenomenal when QE2 berths at the Overseas Terminal, the thrust of the tugs goes right across to the seawall on the eastern side. Now alongside the Amorena starts pumping diesel oil into QE2 at a rate of 100 litres per hour. Classic stern of the QE2, makes modern day cruiseliners look like floating apartment blocks. She's due to depart at 1400 tomorrow.

Ahh brings back memories of when we sailed under the Harbour Bridge on P&O's Pacific Sun with the sun slowly rising over the horizon....
I'm still mind-boggled how such a massive piece of machinery the size of a tiny city can stay afloat and manage to move around the sea.

Google reckons she holds something like 4,000 odd tonnes of fuel, or something like that.
