Default Escort sundowner panelvan pics wanted

Hi all,

I have a mate who has a green original escort sundowner panelvan he wants to restore to its former glory, but hasnt got pics any decent pics to copy from. He's looking to replicate the side graphics and colours used on the original but he cant picture what the colours look like as the original graphics are faded.

I have tried to do searches on the net all over the world but have only managed about 2 or 3 small pics from original magazine articles in low res quality. And to top it off its the red sundowner not the green one. I need pics of the green one in old 'van wheels' or 'street machine' magazines you may have lying in your collection.

Could anyone help with some original pictures of the green sundowner so he can restore it correctly?

Thanks in advance.

There is a very nice one on carpoint. Side striping is clearly visible.

thanks Kermit.

My mate has one that is more greener than that, that he is looking for pics of. But that one is an exceptional example. He was extremely impressed with the quality of that.

Appreciate your help on this guys. Keep me informed with anything else you may find.

They came in all the colours that were available at the time. I have seen black & white (with blue decals), Red & Blue (with orange decals), Yellow & Green (with green decals). I have owned a red one and a wedgewood blue one. I was going to start a Sundowner register at one point but I ended up selling them off. The vans suffer really badly from rust so I wouldn't think many of the 2000 odd sold would have survived. Email me for pics. & brochure shots. maxrnb70@hotmail.com

Cheers Glenn
