Default Bluetooth Headsets

Hey all,
Just wondering if you could help me with a question about bluetooth headsets....
Are they all the same? So, that ANY phone with bluetooth can use ANY one? I might buy a cheap one off eBay and was wondering if I need a particular one. BTW my phone is a Moto V3 RAZR

Thanks,

Nah, doesn't work like that. I've got the same phone as you and when you first get the headset going, you've gotta tune it to your phone. At least thats what I did and I've tried to make it work on other phones but they can't find it.

Work for a company that manufactures them....

GN ones are shit (6210) forever failing. Go for the plantronics 510SM (M for Mobile), awesome and can't go wrong....

Cheers

I am suspect of having the radiation in your ear.

Thanks,
Any bluetooth headset will work with any phone that its 'paird' (tuned) to.
But I'd never buy a 'cheap' one from ebay. If anything goes wrong warranty could be difficult.

I bought mine from my local Vodafone outlet here. The first one I bought from there picked up too much backround noise in the truck so they changed it for another one (Jabra BT500) and were prepared to keep changing headsets untill I was satisfied. That couldn't be done on Ebay.

Yeah only looking at a 'cheap one from eBay' to see if they are any good. If they are I will probably buy a $100+ one....
Anyone found some on eBay?

Unless you have the phone on the same side as the earpiece that way the 2.4 gigglehertz waves would go the other way... but if they did that you wouldn't hear anything would you? And if you talk straight into the phone you'll get zapped by the radiation output from the aerial !

Oh what a dilemma!!

Maybe we should all just throw our mobiles away!
