Default Funny and sad, but mostly funny.

Driving into work tonight a very funny thing happened. For those that know the area, I was heading out of Alice on the airport road to take a turn onto the Stuart highway. Anyway, I made my turn onto the highway and thought that since there was still lots of light and no other traffic, except for a smallish red car down the highway a bit, I would fire up the boss choir for a little sing song. I waited for the double white lines to end gave third gear about 5000rpm dropped it into 4th and clicked the cruise control on at 160 for the short cruise down to hatt road and into work. Well anyhow during this I passed the little red car (honda integra). I must have upset him because a little while later I saw him in my mirrors come up behind be and then pull out to overtake..... fair enough I was slowing down for my turn anyway. But suddenly when the integra was about 3 or 4 hundred metres in front of me all hell broke loose. There was a huge great crack sound and then bluey black smoke billowed out from under the hoonda. Bugger I thought, then suddenly the nose of the beast almost dug into the road when the front locked up somehow. I dont know if the driver panicked and stood on the brakes or the front end locked up somehow. Luckily the car was probably only doing 40 or 50 kph when it spun around 1 and a half times. There was also no other traffic around either which is good as he was all over the road.

When I drove past I saw two very pale kids in backwards hats staring back at me. I stopped and asked if they were OK. They both sort of nodded. A couple of minutes later I started to giggle and then have a serious laugh. I know that it is not really funny, but I still cant help myself. This just what we like to see happen to rice cars..... This one had the jam tin tail pipe and wheels and all..... :eclipsee_ : I think that it may be a while before we see that honda on the road again.

Just thought it was worth sharing. Cheers all.

....nope thats just funny. I do know the area and at least its not a too bad a walk back into town. Could have happened in a little more secluded area which would have made the walk more fun!

Can't find anything sad there, another dodgy ricer off the road, a Ford driver got to have a good laugh and two kids learnt a valuable lesson which is to buy a real car and maintain it properly. All is good.

Thats hilarious! Once I was in my mates dads car and some ricey silvia with a massive exhaust system came screaming past us. A while later we saw him in the emergency land phoning RAC cause his car broke down.

The smoke was nitrous purge, there VTEC kicked in yo!, and the powah to the (front) wheels made it do a wheelie and cause the car to lose it. LOL

That's gold.

Don't feel guilty outback, I'd be killing myself laughing in that situation too.
I can imagine all of the pinging and knocks going on whilst it was floored and then finally BANG - ha ha ha ha ha.

ahh well thats what they get for trying to show off...similar thing happened to me one day, was driving to the airport in my VScalais and this VS V6 turbo came up next to me and kept letting the BOV go off, i got the sh!ts cos it gets annoying, keep in mind we were in bad traffic, anyways he keeps doing it then he goes to take off and his engine dies and wont start. Such an idiot, turbo + traffic + short bursts = very hot engine! Can just imagine the damage he would have done, thrashing the car till it so hot it dies! Guess the guy doesnt no the amount of heat a turbo creates.

I was driving along this expressway (Tuggeranong Parkway for ACT people) one day in my 351 XY GT look alike when a V8 XY ute came blasting past. My gut instinct was to floor it and chase him but (luckily) my head ruled and I decided it wasn't worth wasting the petrol. A couple of kms down the road the ute was planted rather heavily into the concrete centre divider barriers.

haha wicked thread,
one night I was driving my Nissan Exa with Nismo stickers on it and a major ricer in his civic came parallel with me and revved up ,
I gave him some *ptshh* at the lights then he gunned it while I watched him,
cop pulled him over about 200 M down the track and let me drive freely ^^

some cars look awesome riced up, but they need some sort of grunt..
plain rice is gay, it needs meat or something to go with it :(

Yeah that has always interested me. All the marks on the concrete divider that is. How the hell do you hit them? The road is a bit dodgy but not enough to hit the divider.

That road is good for 130km/h at least.
