You biggest problem is going to be the issue with recycling water, only way you are going to stand out in the crowd if you can offer an alternative to the current harsh additives being used.

No harsh brushes either, we need something different. Clean, scratchless and still gets dirt off. Also you might want to look into a way of cleaning wheels.

Are you talking about commercial self serve wash like happy wash, carlovers etc or manual and tunnel wash
If commercial, speak to prowash.com.au guys. Their product range of soaps etc are the best I've come across They don't build them, just supply everything you need Good idea to include high pressure compressed air so people can do no touch drying of the car and a final rinse that leaves as little beads on the car as possible If you could allow some hand washing of vehicles too, you would have everyone from surrounding areas there like piranha's

actually thats a good idea. the main problem i have in the self wash things is the fact i then have to dry it with a towel or something. just get another gun or hook up the normal one so it can do compressed air.

I have been saying for years that I want to do something like this myself.
My idea was to also be able to wash UNDER the car as well . I don't know how many time I have had to tell a customer to go wash under there car so they could pass a road worthy .. So having a car wash that you could do that with would be great .. Charge them $5 for 3min just under the car .. That's What I would like to see in a new car wash. Good luck with it all

Hey Daniel,
I in the process finishing a carwash my mate has just opened up and wyndham Vale (Werribee), all gear was supplied by Prowash and have an automated brushless wash that give a nice high pressure wash underneath the car and it does a really good job. If I were going to open one up I'd make it so you can bring your own bucket and soap as optional as alot don't allow it. Mick

The reason you cant take your own bucket / soap etc to alot of them is that the chemicals in your car wash my not be compatable with there water recyclening system, so just be carful the last time I used a self serve place was when I was doing a weddign in my car about 4 hrs drive from home so obviasly it got filthy, I couldnt use my soap (for that very reason) but the attentdant gave me a bottle of there stuff so I could use that with my bucket (thanks car lovers dude)

Bear in mind that the one operating on Hallam North Road is always busy so you would probably be in direct competition, and it's a pretty good one too. |

One thing you might want to give ago is bushless car wash for large size vans ( Ford Transits type ) and small trucks .There is a small market of these on the road and it takes me 2 hours to wash mine ,where I'll rather it be on the road after a 5 minture car wash .Plus keep in mind F250s can't fit in most car washes also .So once word gets around you might have something the others don't .
But god luck with it anyway |
