For the AUII what pocket do I get? I had a look at the aerpro ones and they look pretty good (comes in black as well), however the mention of ford ones has made me think which one should I get?

Interesting... this is my next headunit. Although I think I'll get the one up from this.

Will that Aerpro mounting kit, fit an AUII/III?

Cheers

Haven't physically seen one, but another poster on these forums said that they only fit 1.5 DIN head unit, not a single DIN unit.

Interesting info, can you still use the steering wheel audio controls, if you install the Alpine 9857 ? And does this fit the AU3 ? Only AU1 and AU2 are mentioned. How do you get the old head unit out ?
Cheers

There is an optional Alpine adaptor that costs about $200. I wasn't going to spend that much, particularly when the steering wheel controls don't have a mute function anyway.

AU3 is the same as AU2.

I botched the removal, and it came out in pieces.
