Default 60000ks and Dead Fez

Well not completely,

Just had my 60 000kms service done and yesterday driving home

the Car just started to jerk the ABS kicked in for some reason and i heard a massive clunk!!!

Well anyway the ABS light is on, took it to the local mechanic (As the dealers are closed) and the back drivers side wheel is moving forward and backward (no i dont mean rotating lol) and the bearings on the wheel are gone..

the mechanic said if i drove it in the current condition the wheel may come off! yep seperate from the car whilst driving..

Massive dissapoinment.. so i have no car for the next few days, and how long further who knows..

will have to wait and see what ford say..

Anyone else have this happen to the, ?

Sheesh! what a bugger! You checked the obvious stuff like bolts etc?

I had an old old old Golf as my first car and went to change the brake pads with a friend. Finished the job but forgot to tighten up the bolts tight. Half way home everytime I got off the throttle the thing would shake like a b*st*rd! Pulled into a nearby Jax and they could find anything wrong and that's when I realised the loose bolts! :

Just got it back from

Thompson Ford in Parramatta, they were great!

Dropped it in this morning and picked it up this afternoon.. Cant reccommend them high enough!

It was the bearings in the wheel, and sensors and some other parts that all got damaged when the bearings gave in.

So all fixed now and the car drives great again!! !

Was it warranty? Doubt there are many fiesta's which have done 100k, certainly not 3 years old.

Its a bit of worrying to think it just went through a service and such a bad problem was not noticed.
