Default car hire

Just wondering if there is any place in Perth where I can hire a VE SV6?

Please dont tell me thats what you want to buy, I have driven an omega, and that was gutless, dont know about the SV6, but looking at the torque figures, Im guessing it would be.

I actually wanted to hire an SS but I don't think V8s are available. So the Sv6 will have to do. I just want to see how it drives and how it compares with the falc

It won't be hard to find an omega. I'm just not too sure whether they have SV6s. My folks managed to hire a 380 VRX when they went to Tassie... could mean that the SV6 is also available. But since no one knows, I guess I'll have to start looking around a bit. Cheers

if a base model ve compares anything to a base model vz, as far as takeoff and engine responsiveness goes, they are as aluggish as anything, not sure about a sv6 tho, but i've driven a vz exec, and even compared to my au, it is a slug, the gear shifts are so slow and you have to put your foot down heaps to even get moving from a stop

I've test driven a VE SV6 before (but only for about 10 minutes). The engine is very peaky and less responsive than the barra. But I'm really interested in how it drives/handles as I didn't get much opportunity to test it at the dealership.

I've hired a commodore for my trip to and from Sydney next month. Went through AVIS.

But I doubt it will be an SV6. Probabbly an omega. But my dad did once get given a BA XR6 when he hired it from Hertz. I imagine they will have some in stock. Give Avis a call.

I have seen a few N/A XR6's at hire places so i wouldn't think it would be to hard to find a SV6.
