Default Show And Shine Trip To Macksville

The Mid North Coast Ford Owners Club is holding a weekend away at Macksville. We are to put on a show and shine at the showground with other car clubs attending also. Macksville is holding its anual event called The Rusty Iron Rally, which will be held in the showgrounds on the Fathers Day weekend on the 1st and 2nd of September. We will be also camping up there as they have offered us FREE CAMPING !!! The club will be taking up the club trailor and marquees so if it is a sunny day or a shower or two there will be shade or cover. I do believe there will be judging on the vehicles and prizes. There is powered sites available!! We will be heading up there on Friday early evening ( time yet to be announced ) and for $10.00 per head they will supply a bbq on Friday night and also cook us breakfast on Saturday morning !!!BUT WE NEED NUMBERS FAST as the club has to fill in an entry form for attendance. So if you can make it please put your name down in the tread or email me, im quite sure it will be a blast if it is anything like our previous camping trips away !!!

Doh!! I'm pretty sure I'm away that weekend :( Unlucky.

Looks like you don't get to laugh at me busting myself up while extremely intoxicated again, lol. Hopefully there is a slide there for entertainment, eh Gordo?

Talking Meeting point for Macksville

To those that are going to the Rusty Iron Rally Show And Shine at Macksville. The meeting point is at the clybucca BP service station, which is located just after Fredrickton on the left hand side, you cant miss it as it is a truck stop also. We will be meeting there Saturday morning at 8.00AM and leaving approx 8.15AM. We will arive Macksville at around 8.45AM, set up and enjoy the day. We cannot cook or sell food there, but we are allowed to cook our own food, so the club trailor will be brought along and food and drinks will be available to club members. For those staying the night, camping is FREE, and we will set up camp late afternoon. But if not gates open at 9.00 AM. Hope to see you all there.

See you there Trish......Yes club gear is needed as we will be representing the club and is a club outting. The XR8 is fixed and ready to roll, and will be towing the trailor.

It was good fun - lots of interest was shown in our cars, our trailer and our food! even Charlie Chaplin turned up! thanks to Gordon for the cooking and to everyone there who made it an enjoyable time. I got a laugh with that "over it" sign on the truck - good pic of it too.
