If you don't like the show change the channel/turn it off.
Is that not what Holden and holeproof did? They pay for the ads, they did not like where the ads were shown so they stopped paying for that time slot. What is the difference? If the two companies in question think that their target demographics for the ads won't be watching a show, why waste marketing dollars on it?. When it comes to advertising I really doubt that the actual content of the show plays a part in deciding weather to place an ad there or not. The only part they would look at is the amount of exposure they thing they would get from the target demographic. Show morals or content has nothing to do with it.

Don't let this turn into a Christian Bashing thread... and while i'm at it, stop it with all this ignorant generalising. It will go down the same hill political threads do. At the end of the Day, Christian Organisations like the Family Party etc. Will always be vocal...most of their voters would want/expect it... just like the Greens voters would for Trees and the Shooting/Fishing party for whatever they do (see the humour in that one ok? ). Ten have made it clear they wont take the show off air at this stage...Move on.

+1 For Closure

+1 for this thread to be closed.

This thread will end up offending more than it will offer to the value of the forum

A newspaper once made a couple of cartoons depicting Mohommad and there was rioting, killing and outcry for months in the Muslim world.

A TV show depicts Ducovny walking into a Church, stubbing his cigarette out into the holy water then getting a BJ off a Catholic nun (in the church). The Christian church then made a 2 line statement supporting Holden on pulling its comercials.

Yep I can see the bagging here of Christians is warranted /sarcasm.

Frankly I think the whole bunch of them deserve a Reality Slap.
Christianity can look after the christians, I'm not one, so they can keep their noses out of what I watch, think and do, instead of shoving their values down everyones throats. Holden can look after the metrosexuals, im not one, so pulling their advertising had zero effect on me, and as for wearing holeproof underwear, its worthwhile going commando for the next few weeks atleast.
You seriously have no idea - while you dribble on about christians "shoving their values down everyone throats" its ironic that the only one shoving their beliefs is you. Think about what you write before you type, that has to be one of the most crap posts i've seen here on AFF

I'll go so far as to say that Im quite surprised and disappointed at some of the replies in this thread. This is getting very offensive very quickly and it's disappointing to see it on the site.
