Default Cortina Power Steering Q's

I have a recently purchased a TF cortina Speedway/race car and it has a power steering rack but no pump. Seems they wanted a higher ratio box for quick steering but weren't to worried about the power part!

Question is, can I use a power steering pump from a falcon 6/v8 or are they different. Also, on the rack which hole is pressure and which is return. cheers.

Depends what rack it is, being a speedway car, it might have had something different grafted in. But regardless, yes, any pump should do, as the principals of power steering are the same regardless, = engine turns pump, pump pushes fluid, rack works easier. I use a toyota MR2 electric pump, which works real well. The bigger hole in your rack is for the return usually
