Default AU Falcon rims

hey, i am thinking of upgrading my stocko wheels (chrome hubcaps) to some aftermarket rims preferbly chromies. what is the biggest size i can get for them without the insurance going mentel. i heard that you can have 2 sizes up from the originals and anymore will make your insurance excess really high. currently i have 15's on them. i was thinking 17's as this would make the car look lowered too.
any ideas?

depends who you are insured with and whate state you are in. I've got a series 1 povo pack which probaby had 15" stock rims, and my insurance didn't bump the price up when I went from 17"s to 19"s

2 inches up is pushing it, 1 is ok
You can go 19" as the T series had 18s standard.

There has been up to 22's on the back of a T-series as well, lol.
20's at the front seems about max, but legally you are allowed two inches higher than the biggest optional rim available on the series, but the rolling diameter must stay very close to the original wheels. For instance, the XR 17's are actually slightly (~2% or something) smaller rolling diameter than the original 15's, so when you sit on 100, you are really doing 98 ish.
Hope that helps.
