Well back again,
This time car won't start (click click click ) so bought a new battery and made no difference. So I'm thinking "starter motor" what do you think : If it is ? Where's the best place to buy one. Should I go 2nd hand ? Or new ? Cheers Dash. I'm in Berwick Vic. |

reconditioned starters are ok from auto electricians
new ones have a 2 yr warranty depends on how long you want to keep your car

Check your wiring just in case you have a bad earth to the engine block. Also check your positive cable to the starter motor solenoid in case there is corrosion on the connection. :

I had the same problem and took my starter motor of and had the brushes checked and all was ok-mine was not starting when hot-so i checked my wiring harness and found it was getting old-to solve this problem i by-passed the main harness from the ignition to the starter motor with a relay that i fitted onto the firewall and have had no probs since-i had trouble finding starters as mine was a bosch which they dont do for these anymore.
