Default Is this worth it?

hey guys i'm considering buying this car:

http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars...d=12001886C919

I've had it checked by a mechanic and everything and he says everything is a-ok.....is the price asking reasonable or do you think i could knock him down to 10K?

Any thoughts appreciated

That looks the goods, full of win. 11k seems a fair price but still try to get it for 10k.

I'd shoot for $9500, but would be happy-ish with $10500 too. It's a buyers market - never pay full price unless you really, really, really need it.

O/T - What's with the RG? TLAs seem to becoming popular around here.

Sorry, that's why I put O/T (Off topic). RG used to be Russell, and TLA = Two/Three Letter Acronym.

Because TLA's are full of WIN lol.

I had issues with my name being way to close to another persons so that's the reason.

No AUs needed a bulge like the BA/F 4V V8s did, so they're a bit '**** factor' on any AU. That said, it's all up to individual taste, and if you like the look of it who cares. I'd be pushing for $10k or less. Good luck.

Good choice RG, welcome to the TLA club. That user name is FOW IMO.

On a serious note that XR looks very nice indeed. I would swap the bonnet with someone though, or at least get rid of those decals.

For one, ill never go back to a series I. That one is a little too plain for me, i agree with most of the thoughts here the bulge screams "IM COMPENSATING" so ill either take it off or just remove the FPV stickers, then again it might reduce 5rwkw :P

If i cant get him below 10k I probably wont go with it, i can find a standard series II XR6 for 8k then go from there.
