I think you'll find it's 3 months, but if you haven't purchased the vehicle then don't. But if you have, then take it back to the dealer, let them know and they will help u take the right course of action.

if the car is under 3k there is NO warranty, the vehicle just has to be roadworthy at date of purchase, beyond that yeah there is a statutory 3 month warranty. Thats for SA anyway (hence why my car was $2999)

Statutory warranty periods
Used cars can have one of two statutory warranty periods, depending on the vehicle’s age and odometer reading:

Class A warranty: when the odometer reading is fewer than 160 000 kilometres, and the car was manufactured fewer than 10 years before the sale date, the warranty is three months or 5000 kilometres, whichever happens first
Class B warranty: when the odometer reading is 160 000 kilometres or more, or the car was manufactured 10 years or more before the sale date, the warranty is one month or 1000 kilometres, whichever happens first.

best to give the dealer a call and explain whats going on. If they say up yours, politely hang up and call consumer trading or whoever it is and get advice from them

Cheers
