Duplicated post, but I'm concerned I've either had a inoperative or incorrect thermostat fitted. Ute is running COLD - well below "N" in the NORMAL range. The aftermarket LPG converter seems hot to the touch, but I'm wondering do they use different thermostats for LPG converted V8s? I've read on here about "skirtless" thermostats to allow the water bypass and whatnot and am wondering if this applies to AU V8? |

Anywhere in the range N to L is normal. Above and below it is not. I'd change your thermostat, and if that doesn't fix it, check the temp sender unit and/or temp gauge for defects.
