Default rear springs au ute ?

I was given a pair of rear springs out of a xr8 ute. They look to be in good cond and have the # TYR23-5556-ac stenciled on them. Anybody have any idea what these numbers are ?
Thanks

Its not a Kings part number, are they from an AU? Anything AU-BF will fit I think.

I know it;s not a kings part number. It;s not any of the main stream brands part numbers. Don't know if it's a ford number or what it is; the numbers appear to be freshly painted on. and yes they did come out of a au xr8 but the guy i got them off didn't know if it had been lowwered or not.

The rear leaf springs that I have sitting here in my garage that came out of my AUII XR8 ute have IR23-5556-BA painted on them. Most likely some sort of part number, only way to confirm is to ring your friendly Ford dealer.

What's the make up of the spring?
Are all the leaves exactly the same thickness?
How many in total?
If they are different thicknesses, how many of each?

XR/XLS springs have 3 thin leaves and 1 35% thicker leaf.
XL springs have 3 thin leaves and 1 50% thicker leaf.
Aftermarket springs usually have 5 or 6 thin leaves.
1 tonne springs will have 3 thin leaves and 3 50% thicker leaves, (although this can vary).

If you had superlow springs, and 1.5" lowering blocks, you would have only had maybe 1/2" of clearance to the bump rubbers.
No wonder it was a harsh ride.
Just the superlows should have provided a fairly reasonable ride. 6 leaves is around the best compromise between comfort and loading capacity.

Are you looking to off load those springs or do you need them for your ute. If you think they are lower then yours, would you be interested in selling your stock springs, if they are the standard XR height springs
