Default AU Wagons

Hey guys.

Just wondering what people have done to their wagons in the club? More visual than mechanical.

Had the idea (not a new one) of maybe putting a BA XR front on an AU3 wagon. Ive sent a few PM's today to figure out costs so we will see.

Not a huge fan of wagons in general, but a low sleek one would appeal. Ive seen some dodge AU1 XR fronts and they look a bit naff (sorry to offend those who have done it).

I remember seeing an AU LTD with a BA LTD front and it was surprisingly good; so it can be done.

Some pics would be great.

Thanks

That is very classy indeed. AU2 XR+ front looks so much better than S1.

Does anyone make that full kit? I dont have the time to be making custom stuff unless someone does it for me.

unfortunately custom made is the only way to get a kit like this at the moment.if you read the whole thread i said if there was a business out there who wanted to use these to make fibreglass moulds i would be more than happy to help out.there is also a link to another thread about people being interested in getting a kit,so business's could get an idea if there is a market for them. hope this helps in some way and thanks for the comments

Yes, its a very neat rear end. I think it's better that Chiefs, and the big problem with a wagon when it is lowered, is that the **** drags on the ground, over driveways etc - long wheelbase ansd lowered can be a problem

Doks wagon with the BA front end.
Ray with his stroker wagon and F6 wagon
The one and only Stav and his mighty wagon

My motor is in the car finally. Just odd bits and pieces to get it running.

The rear bar is done.

AU Wagin, do you have a rear pic of the gold wagon? I like the XR skirts.

Do all the skirts have to be lengthened?

Ive had a look at that Phat Kustom Kits site and they are a bit ricey for me. Cheif your wagon also looks sensational, did the place that helped you take a mould by any chance?

All the above are amazing efforts guys.

AWC make skirts for the wagons and a couple of rear jobs as well. the XR kit that you see on wagins gold au, the TS50 skirt that you see on mine and also a rear wing as seen on both of wagins girls. Phat custom kits have a B series GT style rear bar as well, not just the first ones you see when you select the au wagon page.

That was a very nice wagon JC, I'm sure the current owners are still very happy with it.

Phat custom kits are rubbish I bough a 1st grade kit off them (specifically asked for 1st grade) and what I got was crap.

The front bumper had cracks in the Gel coat and chips (under the gel coat)

I also asked for a BFGT rear bumper and was sent a BAGT rear bumper witch is of no use to me and might as well have been for a Toyota and it was 2nd hand (painted and cracked) witch I managed to get $100.00 back off phatcustomkits because supposedly that's all they charged me for the back bumper.

The side skirts are even worse and are supposed to fit but don't

When I hit up Ronny Klik, there answer was
"it's the way we made it, thanks" and as not intending to help me out anymore.

The front guard panel in about 20mm to short to fit. I have now found out that they are for the AU falcon wagon not the BF to witch all the other part are for and despite ron klik admitting they are different he then turns around and said that there is no difference

Even without the side skirts been wrong they are made so badly that to get them to fit is a mission.

I have spent about 6 hours just trying to get them straight and are still far from looking right but I am beyond the point of no return I think.

Ron calls them custom so no one can say that they do not look right because they are custom. imo

So I would advise everyone that if you time is worth more than $1/hour or want there car to look good closer than 100m, imo stay away from

That's disgusting!!!!!!!!
The front bar looks like it's been in an accident and repaired. Also, the side skirts definately are AU as you said...the bottom of the front guards are longer in the BA's. I bought a factory plastic body kit for a BA XR ute off a forum member who had an AU ute. He thought it would fit his AU but it was too long.
Hope you can get something sorted out with this guy.

Linz.
