Default What's It worth thread - Difficulty: Medium

Hi All
I'm choosing not to afford two cars right now, so I'm selling the white one.
As per my sig, it's a Winter White January 2000 AUI Ford Falcon Classic Sedan:
Auto
Cold Aircon
Front Power Windows
Premium Sound
Black Interior
Cruise Control
Towbar
Factory Alloys
Brand new front brakes (discs and pads)
Brand new tyres all round
Just Serviced, everything in good working order, always starts first time and doesn't stop until you tell it to.
Doesn't use a drop of oil, never gets hot.
Good on the Fuel (ie 550km out of 60L-odd average)
305,000 on the clock, lots of parts newer than that (windscreen, alternator, drive belt and pulleys, etc etc)

The only things i can find wrong with it is the paint is average but not bad, and the electric aerial doesn't always like to go the whole way down.

Private Sale, what do think this good, honest car is worth?
Thanks in advance.

ah, okey doke. I spose that seems fair. Well i'll put it up for about the four grand end of town, and give myself a bit of room for the buyer to take off, as they like to do. Thanks for your help gents. Anyone interested in it?

As suggested, I'd be happy with $3500

If it wasn't white I'd be interested, lol

The Classic model is little bit rarer than that amigo.

I got one about the same month and year with only 170k on it, very good in terms having quite a lot of the xr features without the price tag.

$3500 to $4000 seems to the go

SirHenry i did miss that it is a classic but i don't think to many people would take that in to consideration these days when looking for a clean falcon. they would be more worried about weather its a fairmont or xr or series 1 2 or 3 than sr or classic and the like, but thats just my point of veiw. preston

Very true, they are/were very good value for $, they had a lot more features than standard.

I completely agree the main thing anyone should look for in a car is whether it is clean, straight and mechanically sound. The series 2 and 3 versions do have a few less niggles, ie Brakes,

But eh come on it does have the eggcrate grill :

i sold my Au1 forte for $2900 after about two weeks on carsales, so you should get more for a higher spec model.
I think probably in the area of 3400 to 4000, because you do have alot of kms on it.

Sure. And likewise they shouldn't be offended when I tell them to get stuffed.

Thanks lostdude, that's good info. Yeah the kays are a bit high, but the only place they show up is the paint really.
