No; the reason he was able to strip the car before it was seized was that they couldn't;'t do it until he was convicted. The article in the paper showed the before and after shot of the car and he has clearly taken or swapped all the good bits off.

Well how about this for an idea. Instead of crushing the cars use them for a good purpose. Crushing means they are gone and forgotten in a few months.

If the cars are in reasonable mechanical condition then donate them to the salvos or whatever charity to provide transport as required.
If on the other hand the vehicles are crap then donate them to TAFE to be used as project vehicles for apprectices agricultural and provocational students.

Strip the head, rebuild the head, strip the head, rebuild the head, strip the diff, assemble the diff...... you get the idea.

Eventually every thread will be stripped and every nut and bolt rounded then it gets donated to a scuba club for addition to the artificial reef.

Don't waste, recycle.
