Default Power Steering Racks

Anyone had any weird problems with Power Steer Racks.

I had my Classic (AU1) in for major service on Saturday they noticed a leak in the passenger side Psteering rack and said they needed to replace the rack, I rang my warranty guys and they're assessing it a bit later but in the mean time I rang Ford who say the PS Rack will grease up a fair bit and appear as though its leaking... /boggle :

Anyone able to confirm or clarify the greasing up thing?

TY
Chris

not grease up as such, but they will weep slighty around the boots giving a wet look to the rubber boots.. If it is leaking you can squeeze the boots and if it feels heavy opposed to springing straight back as it should be filled with air...
